In 1975 I have purchased a piece of land near chennai.The EC was obtained and at the back of EC the name of the the buyer with his fathers name was indicated and from whom he purchased is also noted.At the time of preparation of sale deed the name of the buyer iis stated correctly whereas his fathers name is wrongly mentioned.Now the buyer is no more and whereabouts of the legal heir is not known. The issue of Patta is withheld for this reason.What is the remedy.

Hi Jayarama,

I would suggest you try to get patta through a broker. Currently, the only way is to get it fixed using rectification deed which is not possible in this case. A broker would be able to find alternate routes to make it work far as I know. They have more connections than we do.
