TOPIC: Khata number in sale deed

Khata number in sale deed 7 months 3 weeks ago #8586

I had purchased a plot in Bangalore in 1996 and its a revenue site. In the sale deed there is no mention of any survey number and only the Khata number is present. How can I obtain the corresponding survey number. If the survey number is not present, is it a valid sale deed? Since we still have not obtained the A- Khata for this plot, what does this Khata number on the sale deed refer to? Please clarify.

I am guessing that it might be referring to B khata number. Generally, a sale deed should mention the Survey number. I would suggest you consult a lawyer to get confirmation on validity of your sale deed.
